Announcing Posse Arts: Michelle Obama Celebrates New Posse Collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda

The Posse Foundation has launched a new arts initiative in partnership with Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Miranda Family Fund, with CalArts as the first institutional partner. Former First Lady Michelle Obama announced the program.

Winter Career Day Hosted by Kirkland & Ellis

On January 4, Posse Chicago held its annual Winter Career Day with a full program of career development workshops, mock interviews and a Career Fair in which close to 30 Posse Career Program partners participated.

Posse Alumnus Kareem Edwards received Bank of America’s 2012 Volunteer Service Award for Illinois in recognition of his contributions to Posse.

Alumnus Named to Crain’s "20 in their 20s"

First recognized by Bank of America last fall for his philanthropic contributions in Chicago, alumnus Kareem Edwards’ (DePauw Posse 7) contributions as a young professional have now earned him a spot on Crain’s inaugural \"20 in Their 20s\"—a list of 20-somethings who are outstanding in their respective fields and integral to the next generation of Chicago’s leadership.

U.S. Marine Corps Captain Wins Ainslie Alumni Award

Carmen Green Jr. is the 2012 recipient of the Ainslie Alumni Achievement Award. Currently a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, Carmen exemplifies the leadership qualities characteristic of the men and women who risk their lives in service to our country.

Presidents Conference Tackles Economics of Higher Ed

In October, presidents and chancellors from top colleges and universities around the country convened in New York City for Posse’s biennial Presidents Conference on Higher Education. This year’s Conference entitled, Another Bubble: The Sustainability of the Higher Education Economic Model, explored the viability of current approaches to funding postsecondary institutions.
