Posse Wins Make It Better Philanthropy Award

Spring 2014 | Chicago

The Posse Foundation was recognized as an outstanding nonprofit in education by Make It Better, a Chicago publication dedicated to philanthropy. The award is given out annually to outstanding nonprofits making a difference in Chicago.

“I want to express our deep gratitude to the Make It Better Foundation for selecting Posse to be in this impressive group,” says Posse Chicago Director Asaf Bar-Tura. “Through this opportunity, we will find partners—like you—who are willing to join us, fund us and volunteer with us.”

For 25 years, Posse partner colleges and universities have welcomed Scholars onto their campuses. They have awarded an incredible $688 million in leadership scholarships to these young people and have seen their success not only as leaders on campus, but in these students’ 90 percent persistence and graduation rate.

Make It Better partnered with Walgreens and JPMorgan Chase for the event and collaborated with some of Chicago’s top business leaders and philanthropists to select the winners.
