GiveNOLA Online Fundraiser to Support Posse New Orleans on May 6

Spring 2014 | New Orleans

On May 6, 2014, Posse New Orleans is participating in GiveNOLA Day, an inaugural community-wide, 24-hour online giving day run by the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

“On this one day of giving, we are encouraging our entire community to come together as one to support all the great nonprofits working tirelessly in our community,” said Albert Ruesga, president and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Foundation.

“We are delighted to participate in the first ever GiveNOLA Day,” says Posse New Orleans Director Monica Sylvain. “The Greater New Orleans region has a genuine spirit of generosity and Posse New Orleans is very lucky to have a broad base of support locally, which we hope to continue to build.”

GiveNOLA Day is tied to Give Local America, a national event in which hundreds of community foundations across America ask their communities to give back on May 6, 2014. Sponsored by the Council on Foundations and technology partner Kimbia, Give Local America is raising funds for a national pool from which each participating foundation will receive funds to amplify local gifts raised in the 24-hour period.

To support Posse, visit our GiveNOLA.org page anytime on May 6, then choose the amount you wish to donate. Donations begin at $10 and there is no limit to the maximum size or number of donations that can be made.
