The expansion of graduate school opportunities for Posse alumni is a testament to Posse’s growing reputation for excellence among institutions of higher education. Below is a list of graduate schools that offer scholarships and other forms of financial aid to support graduate study for Posse alumni. How to Apply

All programs require Posse Scholars and alumni to complete and submit the regular application, which may include the submission of GRE, LSAT and/or GMAT scores, academic transcripts, essays, letters of recommendation and a resume. Carnegie Mellon University

Carnegie Mellon is a national research university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The School of Public Policy and Management is one of the nation’s leading public policy research institutions and The School of Information Systems and Management consistently ranks among the world’s elite in information technology and information technology management. The Heinz College is offering one full-tuition scholarship to a Posse alumna/us admitted to the MSPPM program, and tuition-reduction scholarships—covering between 30-50 percent tuition—to all Posse alumni who matriculate into a full-time master’s degree program.

Columbia University

Teachers College, Columbia University is the largest and most comprehensive graduate and professional school of education in the United States and offers more than 100 degree programs in the fields of education, psychology, health and policy. Teachers College will award one full-tuition scholarship to a Posse alumna/us admitted to any master’s degree program that is 36 credits or less. All Posse alumni who apply for summer or fall term entrance will receive an application fee waiver and consideration for a full-tuition scholarship opportunity.

Cornell University

Located in Ithaca, New York, Cornell Law School provides an intimate academic environment by admitting just 200 new students each year to the three-year J.D. program. With a top-ranked faculty, Cornell offers an intellectually rich, diverse learning community that prepares its students for excellence in all areas of the legal profession. Cornell will provide one full-tuition scholarship each year for a Posse alumna/us admitted to its law programs.

Duke University

For over four decades, Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business has equipped its students with the skills, competences, and knowledge needed to navigate a dynamic global economy. A top-tier U.S. business school, Fuqua will offer one full-tuition scholarship to a Posse alumna/us accepted into the daytime M.B.A. program and one full-tuition scholarship to a Posse alumna/us accepted into the Master of Management Studies (MMS) program.

Johns Hopkins University

Located in Baltimore, Maryland, the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts and Sciences has a mission of discovery–the creation of new knowledge through research and scholarship, and the education of its students. Johns Hopkins University will offer up to five full-tuition Ph.D. graduate fellowships (either a teaching assistantship or research assistantship) to Posse alumni admitted into any of the 26 graduate programs of the Krieger School of Arts & Sciences.

Northeastern University

Northeastern University is a private research university located in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a leader in experiential learning, urban engagement and interdisciplinary research that meets global needs. Northeastern’s M.B.A. program at the D’Amore-McKim School of Business is known for its strength in global management and features a six-month corporate residency with a top business firm, providing students opportunities to actively manage important projects and interact directly with executives. Northeastern will provide one full-tuition scholarship each year for a Posse alumna/us admitted to the program.

Northwestern University

Located in and just outside of Chicago, Illinois, the Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and Kellogg School of Management, respectively, are recognized as two of the top graduate programs in the United States. The Kellogg School of Management and Pritzker School of Law are each offering two full-tuition graduate scholarships to Posse alumni who are accepted into the full-time M.B.A. or J.D. programs.

University of Chicago

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is one of the top-ranked business schools in the United States and will offer at least one full-tuition scholarship to a Posse alumna/us who is admitted into the full-time M.B.A. program. In addition to the M.B.A. program, Booth is offering at least one full-tuition scholarship to an undergraduate Posse Scholar who is accepted into the Chicago Booth Summer Business Scholars Program.

University of Virginia

Founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson in Charlottesville, Virginia, the University of Virginia School of Law is consistently ranked as one of the top law schools in the nation. UVA instills in its students a commitment to leadership, integrity, and community service. The law school will offer at least one full-tuition scholarship to a Posse alumna/us who is accepted to its J.D. program each year.

The University of Washington

The University of Washington, located in Seattle, Washington, receives more federal research funding than any other American public university. All programs offer a rich and rigorous curriculum, an engaged and accomplished faculty, highly motivated students and commitment to improving the quality of public and nonprofit service. UW provides Posse alumni with full-tuition scholarships to the College of Education and School of Social Work. In addition to full tuition, the scholarship award includes a monthly stipend. Alumni awarded a scholarship are expected to complete a teaching assistantship in their second year of graduate school.

Yale University

The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies is offering at least one full-tuition fellowship for Posse alumni accepted into any of its full-time graduate programs. The internationally renowned school offers master’s degrees and doctoral programs that prepare graduates to address local, regional and global environmental issues. Joint degree programs with nine different schools at Yale are available to students with well-defined cross-disciplinary interests.
