Celebrating 2017 Posse Atlanta Graduates

Posse Atlanta was proud to celebrate the graduation of 48 Scholars last May, including its first Posse from Texas A&M University.

In addition to participating in the prestigious graduation ceremonies at their respective institutions, Scholars were honored at Posse Graduations on the campus of each partner college and university. At Posse Graduations, Scholars were awarded Posse diplomas and commemorative keys in the presence of family and friends. Congratulatory remarks were offered by college and university personnel including presidents, provosts and faculty members, in addition to Posse staff.

Many Scholars graduated with academic honors and additional recognition from their institutions. Brenda Khor graduated from The College of Wooster with honors and received The Dan F. Lockhart Outstanding Senior Award. Brenda and Thaviny “Terry” Shaipitisiri, a 2017 graduate of Brandeis University, were both recipients of 2017 Fulbright Fellowships to teach English in Spain and Thailand, respectively.

Posse Atlanta’s newest graduates were welcomed into the alumni network at an Alumni Induction Ceremony held at the law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough.
