Posse Alum Drives Impact at LCMC Health

Spring 2026 | New Orleans

Cianjanae Purvis, a Posse New Orleans alum, is quickly emerging as a dynamic leader at LCMC Health, where her work is helping shape the future of healthcare delivery in the region.

After joining the inaugural cohort of LCMC Health Administrative Fellows in 2023, Cianjanae played a pivotal role in one of the most significant healthcare transitions in Louisiana’s recent history: the integration of Tulane Medical Center into the LCMC Health system. Working in the command center during patient transfers, she helped coordinate the safe relocation of patients and services—an experience that solidified her passion for hospital operations leadership.

“This project was a historic moment for healthcare in Louisiana and a milestone for our growing health system,” Cianjanae says. “It involved closing and relocating a 235-bed hospital and its clinics, transferring patients, and integrating services and staff into a new system. The experience taught me invaluable lessons about leadership and accountability. I learned the importance of clear communication, adaptability, and empathy—especially in an environment filled with uncertainty and emotion.”

Cianjanae’s academic journey laid a strong foundation for her career. She earned a Bachelor of Science in public health and tropical medicine from Tulane University, followed by a Master of Health Administration from the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Today, she serves as a pharmacy business manager at LCMC Health, where she continues to expand her impact.

Her leadership development extends beyond her professional role. As a member of the inaugural cohort of PosseNext Fellows, Cianjanae is further sharpening her executive skills and preparing for senior leadership in healthcare. Through the program, she collaborates with leaders across industries and receives guidance from an experienced healthcare coach.

With a track record of navigating complex challenges and a deep commitment to her community, Cianjanae Purvis represents the next generation of healthcare leadership in New Orleans—one defined by purpose, innovation, and the drive to make a lasting difference.
