Sumo Logic Leads Posse Career Coaching Panel

Winter 2022 | Bay Area

This past fall, Sumo Logic partnered with Posse Bay Area for a special career coaching panel, coordinated with the organization’s celebrations honoring Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month.

The event’s panel speakers included Posse Bay Area Scholars and alumni.

As school resumed this fall for Posse Bay Area’s Scholars, so did their eagerness to seek out internship and career opportunities. The career coaching panel featured current Posse Bay Area Scholars who spoke on the power of mentorship and meaningful ways such relationships have impacted their lives. Representatives from Sumo Logic and Posse Bay Area staff made sure to highlight Sumo’s alignment with the Posse model via their employee resource groups.

The event’s panel speakers included Posse Bay Area Scholars and alumni Tomicia Blunt (University of Puget Sound), Dora Granera and Allison Tamayo (Boston University), and Juan Carlos Santamaria and Ana Valadao Defaria (Lehigh University).

“This event brought together Sumo Logic and Posse Scholars who identified as Latinx, and those who identify as allies to Latinx communities,” says Posse Career Program Manager Victoria Sanchez. “It was a privilege to work alongside our Scholars who are helping to create more equitable futures for their communities. I am additionally inspired by Sumo Logic’s vision for diversity, equity and inclusion outreach, and the energy and passion from our partners there.”

Posse Bay Area staff looks forward to adding more career coaches to Posse’s local roster of volunteers, expanding events with Sumo Logic and other Career Program partners.
