Posse Celebrates Newest Graduates
On July 7, Posse alumni gathered at the Bonaventure Brewing Company in downtown Los Angeles for the annual Posse Alumni Induction.
This year’s event highlighted Posse’s impact in the lives of recent graduates.
“Seeing the early generation of alumni and where they are now is amazing; they started off just like me,” says Stacey Teodoro, a 2022 University of Wisconsin-Madison alum.
Joined by Posse staff, alumni of all ages and from cities across the country celebrated and formally welcomed the recent 2023 graduates into the Posse alumni network, comprising over 7,000 individuals. The network serves to empower Posse graduates through leadership and professional development opportunities.
“This moment feels surreal,” says 2023 Dickinson College graduate Chinemerem Nwanze. “I am excited to join this new community of Posse alumni and to become a resource for future Scholars.”
The alumni network extends beyond Los Angeles, connecting Posse alumni regardless of where they find themselves after graduation. Emma Basen-Engquist, a Houston alum who recently moved to Los Angeles, said, “Being an alum means you’ve got people wherever you go.”
The ceremony ended with a keynote address given by Anabel Martinez, a Dickinson College alum from the class of 2010.
Anabel said, “This is only the beginning. Your journey moving forward is your own. It is important to stay connected and tap into all your networks of support, especially Posse.”
