Posse New Orleans Raises $17K on GiveNOLA Day

This spring, Posse New Orleans raised $17,825 as a participant in GiveNOLA Day, a regional online day of charitable giving.

Organized by the Greater New Orleans Foundation and supported by lead sponsors Baptist Community Ministries and Entergy, GiveNOLA Day raised over $8.1 million for the nearly 1,000 participating nonprofits.

Posse alumni and guests marked the special day of giving on May 4 with a virtual happy hour. The event featured a live DJ performance broadcast from the city’s historic Peaches Records. Alumni interviews and surprise announcements from local advisory board members made for an event to remember.

"The Posse Foundation has had a tremendous influence on my personal and professional growth over the years,” says Luan Vo, a Tulane University Posse alumnus and current Posse National Alumni Advisory Council representative. Reflecting on his motivation to participate in GiveNOLA Day, he says, “Naturally, I want to help empower more locals from New Orleans to understand Posse’s mission and its positive impact on our community."
