Posse New Orleans Celebrates Third Class of Graduates

The third annual Posse New Orleans Alumni Induction took place this past June at the Ace Hotel in the city’s Warehouse District. Family members, supporters and Posse alumni gathered to celebrate the newest Posse graduates from Bard College, Grinnell College and Tulane University.

Guests were treated to a family-style dinner from the acclaimed Estelle Joseph restaurant to celebrate the newest Posse alumni. The night served as the graduates’ formal induction into the Posse Alumni Network—connecting them to nearly 5,000 alumni nationwide who have shared the Posse experience.

Posse New Orleans Director Dr. James Dabney congratulated the new alumni and remarked on the significance of their graduation. Posse National Alumni Advisory Council New Orleans representatives Efren Lopez and Tayler Butler, themselves alumni of Tulane and Bard, also welcomed the event’s honorees into the family of Posse graduates around the country.

“The Posse network presents a very unique opportunity,” Efren said at the event. “Now that you have graduated from college, you are a lifelong member of the Posse alumni community.”
