Posse Los Angeles Receives $65K Donation From RSM PGA Golf Fundraiser

Spring 2021 | Los Angeles

For the fourth year in a row, Posse Los Angeles has been the recipient of a charitable donation from fundraising program Birdies Fore Love, held during PGA Tour golf event The RSM Classic. This year’s gift to Posse Los Angeles from the event totaled $65,000.

During Birdies Fore Love, RSM employees raise funds for local charitable foundations with each gift matched dollar for dollar by the RSM US Foundation. To date, the RSM US Foundation has contributed more than $250,000 to support Posse Los Angeles.

RSM is a title sponsor of The RSM Classic, the PGA Tour golf event that was the background for most of the fundraising. The audit, tax and consulting firm also added a virtual in-house auction to the charitable event this year, partnering with Hey Dude Shoes to raise additional funds for the Posse program in Los Angeles.

"It means the world to us to have community members like RSM support Posse Los Angeles.”

This year’s Birdies Fore Love event was co-championed by RMS’s Christopher Gauss, senior manager, and Andrea Felesky, senior director in the Los Angeles area. The two led fundraising efforts and created the virtual auction, a first-ever for Birdies Fore Love.

RSM Los Angeles and Southwest Market Leader Joseph Mazza is a Posse Los Angeles Advisory Board member and a longtime supporter of Posse. He joined the Los Angeles board in 2016 and has continued to build RSM’s relationship with the program ever since. In addition to providing volunteers for Posse’s annual Dynamic Assessment Process, RMS is now working to create an internship pipeline for Posse Scholars and alumni.

"It means the world to us to have community members like RSM support Posse Los Angeles,” says Posse Los Angeles Director Nikki Kealalio. “They are true community partners who choose to create positive change in the lives of our Scholars and alumni."
