Posse Los Angeles Board Welcomes Leaders in Law, Technology

Spring 2025

The Posse Los Angeles Advisory Board recently welcomed two new members: Paul Rezvani, a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and Jeffrey Thompson, a strategic client executive at Oracle and professor at the University of Southern California. Both bring extensive professional and civic experience that will strengthen Posse Los Angeles as it continues to expand its work with the local community.

Rezvani, who immigrated to the United States from Iran as a teenager, has spoken about navigating education without a strong support system. His experience informs his commitment to Posse’s mission of providing networks of support for young people. At Kirkland & Ellis, a national Posse partner, Rezvani focuses on debt finance. On the Los Angeles Advisory Board, he is contributing to event planning, including the upcoming Glitter celebration.

Thompson has built a career at the intersection of technology and media, with leadership experience that includes serving as Disney’s first vice president of global diversity and inclusion. In that role, he emphasized the importance of recognizing the strengths of a multicultural society. He now serves as a commissioner of the Los Angeles Workforce Commission in addition to his role at Oracle and teaching responsibilities at USC. On the board, Thompson is focusing on community engagement and expanding Posse Los Angeles’ network of partners.

Together, Rezvani and Thompson join 19 other members of the Los Angeles Advisory Board in supporting Scholars and strengthening Posse’s presence in the region.
