Posse Boston Welcomes Class of 2022

Last January at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel, Posse Boston celebrated 60 extraordinary young leaders as they became Posse Scholars. The newly selected Boston Scholars collectively earned over $11.9 million in full-tuition leadership scholarships from six of the nation’s highly selective colleges.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker joined Posse Boston in welcoming the new Scholars into the community. University partners also had the opportunity to welcome the new Posses to their campuses. Denison University Posse liaison Chuck Sokolik spoke at the event and encouraged all new Scholars to take advantage of the endless opportunities available to them.

“All of you are champions.”

“You must thrive and accelerate,” said Chuck. “The future of our country depends on it.”

In addition to celebrating the new Scholars, the event gave family members an opportunity to express pride and excitement.

“All of you are champions and you’ve earned the right to be in the spotlight,” said one parent. “You can overcome all challenges. I believe that one of you is our future president.”
