Posse Boston Awards Ceremony Celebrates the Class of 2024

Spring 2020 | Boston

Posse Boston hosted its annual Awards Ceremony at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel this past January, gathering nearly 400 people to honor 50 young leaders as Posse Scholars. The newest Boston Scholars have earned $10 million in full-tuition leadership scholarships from five of the nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities: Bryn Mawr College, Bucknell University, Centre College, Denison University and Union College.

The Honorable Mayor Martin J. Walsh welcomed Posse Boston’s new Scholars to the community alongside their families, friends, guidance counselors, representatives from partner universities and corporate partners. Mayor Walsh spoke with admiration and honored the group of students, describing Posse Scholars as influential leaders in their communities and the world.

“With opportunities and challenges, life is a day at a time,” Mayor Walsh said in his remarks. “But hold your head high because, one, you are from Massachusetts and, two, you are a Posse Scholar.”

Posse Boston is deeply grateful to the Awards Ceremony sponsors for making the event a spectacular night for the Scholars, their families and all attendees.
