Announcing Posse Arts: Michelle Obama Celebrates New Posse Collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda

The Posse Foundation has launched a new arts initiative in partnership with Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Miranda Family Fund, with CalArts as the first institutional partner. Former First Lady Michelle Obama announced the program.

Dr. Irv Epstein helped pilot the Posse STEM Program that supports Scholars majoring in science, technology, engineering and math. The program recruits 100 Scholars from five cities per year for 10 colleges and universities.

​In January, Posse Los Angeles welcomed 90 new Scholars from the Greater Los Angeles, who were awarded $16.9 million in four-year, full-tuition leadership scholarships from Posse’s partner colleges and universities.
