New Orleans Area Alumni Join Posse Advisory Council

Bard College alumna Tayler Butler and Tulane University alumnus Efren Lopez have joined the Posse National Alumni Advisory Council (PNAAC) to represent Posse New Orleans. Both will also serve on the Posse New Orleans Advisory Board.

Tayler Butler is a native of New Orleans while Efren Lopez originally hails from Los Angeles, California. Locally, they will focus on alumni engagement and furthering PNAAC’s mission of building lifelong relationships between Scholars, alumni and the Foundation.

Efren received a bachelor’s of science degree in architecture from Tulane University and now works as at GraceHebert Architects. During his time at Tulane, he was active in many student organizations, including GENTE, which established an organized Latinx community on campus, and the Multicultural Arts and Architectural Collective. He was also an ambassador and senior speaker for the Office of Multicultural Affairs.

“I am excited to serve as a PNAAC representative for New Orleans,” Efren says. “I look forward to creating a memorable alumni network that people are drawn to be a part of.”

Tayler focused on political studies at Bard College and now serves as a member of AmeriCorps as student resources coordinator at Bard Early College. During her time at Bard she contributed to campus as founder of Colored Women United, as a residential advisor, and as a member of Building Up Hudson, which offered New York students professional development and scholarship opportunities.

“I’m thrilled to be a representative as a native of New Orleans,” says Tayler. “I’m also excited to gain the experiences that being a PNAAC representative have to offer.”
