Los Angeles Celebrates Largest Graduating Class

Summer 2013 | Los Angeles

In July, Posse Los Angeles celebrated its largest graduating class of 62 Scholars with an Alumni Induction event at the Bonaventure Brewing Company. The first Posses of Kalamazoo College, Tulane University and University California, Berkeley, collected their diplomas in May, as did graduates from Dickinson College, Grinnell College and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“We are so very proud of our recent graduates and alumni,” said Tamara Craver, the director of Posse Los Angeles. “These students and their ambition continue to inspire me.”

Committed to changing the face of leadership in this country, 35 Los Angeles alumni will begin graduate school this fall. Their pursuit of advanced and professional degrees ensures that they will be prepared to meet the standard of excellence needed to rise to the top of their chosen fields.

“I am very fortunate and excited to continue my education at UCLA,” said Chris Hanuscin, a graduate of Tulane University, who enrolled at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. “I am grateful for all the opportunities The Posse Foundation and Tulane have opened up for me.”

Members of Posse Los Angeles’ robust local alumni community attended the event to welcome the young graduates to the nation-wide Posse Alumni Network and offer support as they embark on their post-college paths.
