Deloitte Volunteers Teach Posse Scholars Business Chemistry

This past June, volunteers from Deloitte’s New Orleans office facilitated a special workshop for local Posse Scholars in training.

Deloitte employees from a range of departments explained the company’s unique approach to “the art of relationships” with rising first-year Scholars who matriculated at Case Western Reserve University, Illinois Wesleyan University, Tulane University and the University of Notre Dame this fall.

Over the course of the day-long workshop, Scholars reflected on their individual “Business Chemistry” assessments and profiles of their Posse peers. Beyond serving as facilitators of the training discussions, Deloitte employees also shared career advice and personal career path stories that led each of them to their current positions.

“They gave us tips on how to work comfortably with people who may have other personality types,” says Amaya Medeiros, a first-year Scholar at Notre Dame. “I thought it was really beneficial.”

The workshop marked the second annual collaboration between Deloitte and Posse New Orleans as part of Deloitte’s nationwide day of community service. Deloitte is a premier sponsor of The Posse Foundation.
