Brandeis Alum Earns MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School, Joins J.P. Morgan

Fall 2025 | Atlanta

Alleah Salone, a graduate of Brandeis University, earned her Master of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in May. She recently accepted a position as an investment banking associate with J.P. Morgan in New York City. After several years in private banking, Alleah pursued her MBA to pivot toward wealth advisory and investment banking.

“There are not many people who look like me in this field,” she says. “I want my perspective to add value to the finance sector.”

At Duke, Alleah balanced coursework with the competitive recruitment process for internships while remaining active in campus organizations. She joined the Finance Club and the Black Business Student Association and discovered an unexpected passion through the Skiing and Snowboarding Club, where she later served as vice president of local treks.

“Snow skiing is not something I ever saw myself doing,” she said, noting her pride in making the activity more accessible to others.

Alleah credits the leadership development she gained as a Scholar with preparing her for the demands of business school. She points to Posse’s Pre-Collegiate Training program, where she learned strategies for navigating conflict and working with different personalities.

“That experience helped me develop empathy and equipped me for the many group projects I completed during my MBA program,” she says.

After interning with J.P. Morgan, Alleah received a return offer that allowed her to fulfill her longtime goal of living in New York City.

“As I start my career in investment banking, I hope to build on the team-building skills I have and contribute value to my teams,” she says. “I find joy in helping others, and I look forward to the opportunity to do that for my corporate clients.”
