Boston Lawyer’s Group Bolsters Law Resources for Scholars

For more than a decade, the Boston Lawyers Group (BLG) has partnered with Posse Boston to support Scholars interested in careers in law. Together, the two organizations have hosted panels, mentorship opportunities and networking events that help students explore legal careers and gain practical exposure to the profession.

BLG is a consortium of law firms across Boston and New England united by a mission to “collaborate to advance opportunity and belonging in Boston’s legal community.” Its members work to expand inclusion, remove barriers to practice and strengthen a culture of belonging in the legal field.

As part of this collaboration, Posse Boston and BLG recently co-hosted a panel discussion for Scholars considering careers in law. The session offered guidance on applying to law school, explored opportunities beyond traditional legal practice and shared advice on building networks of support in the profession. Panelists included practicing attorneys, BLG members and Posse Boston alumni who have participated in BLG programming.

Events like this highlight the strength of the partnership. By providing Scholars with access to internships, mentorship and meaningful professional development, BLG and Posse Boston are preparing the next generation of diverse leaders to thrive in law and advance inclusion across the profession.
