Awards Ceremony Celebrates Newest Class, Partner College Milestones
In January, Posse Boston celebrated the newest class of 50 Scholars at the Fairmont Copley Plaza. With over 200 family members, educators, alumni, and corporate and university partners in attendance, the space was filled with excitement. It was a momentous evening, as Posse Boston also marked two college partnership anniversaries: 20 years with Centre College and 25 years with Bryn Mawr College.
This year’s scholarship recipients earned a total of more than $10 million in full-tuition scholarship from five of the nation’s distinguished colleges and universities: Bryn Mawr College, Bucknell University, Centre College, Union College, and Rutgers University.
Posse Boston Director and Bryn Mawr University Posse alum Yinnette Sano congratulated the new Scholars and welcomed them to the community by sharing words of encouragement.
“You will not be alone on this journey. As a Posse Scholar, you’re now part of a network that will support you, encourage you, and depend on you,” Yinnette said. “Welcome to the Posse family.”
Posse’s President and Founder Deborah Bial gave the keynote address at the event.
“These Scholars are a part of a big movement—a movement to change the faces of leadership in the workforce,” she said.
Posse Boston is thrilled to welcome our newest Posse Cohort and are deeply grateful for our community of supporters who celebrated with us.
