Atlanta Welcomes New Advisory Board Members

Posse Atlanta welcomes Miriam Huppert, Jovita Moore, Mike Passilla, and Tamika Curry Smith to its advisory board. These new members bring a broad range of skills and experience to contribute to Posse’s impact in the greater Atlanta area.

Miriam Huppert, a Bard College Posse alumna, is joining the board as the newest Posse National Alumni Advisory Council representative. After graduating from Bard, Miriam spent two years as a Posse Trainer supporting the next generation of Scholars. She earned a master’s degree in education at Georgia State University, and now works in educational outreach at Georgia Institute of Technology. Miriam is excited to serve the Posse community and focus on alumni involvement.

Renowned broadcast journalist Jovita Moore is a New York native, but proudly transitioned to calling Atlanta home. She has served as a news anchor on WSB-TV for 20 years. Jovita has received several Emmy awards for her television work and is a member of the Atlanta Association for Black Journalists and the National Association for Black Journalists. She has served numerous nonprofit organizations across metro Atlanta and is now thrilled to join the Posse movement.

Mike Passilla is the recently retired vice chairman for JPMorgan Chase & Co. The University of Notre Dame graduate obtained his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. During his time with JPMorgan, Mike has also served as the chief executive officer of merchant services at Chase Paymentech Solutions, LLC. With over 23 years in sales, marketing and consulting experiences, Mike is eager to help increase the impact of Posse Atlanta.

Mercedes-Benz USA Head of Diversity & Inclusion Tamika Curry Smith began her career with Deloitte, where she performed accounting and auditing services. She then became the director of diversity programs after joining Deloitte Consulting. Tamika has been recognized as AZ Business Magazine’s 50 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business, with the Peak Achievement Award from INROADS and the Chairman’s Award from the National Black MBA Association.
