Apache Corporation Joins Posse Houston as New Corporate Career Partner

Winter 2020 | Houston

Posse Houston is pleased to announce Apache Corporation as its newest corporate partner.

A global energy provider with offices in the United States, Egypt, the United Kingdom and Suriname, Apache continuously works to operate sustainably and create long-term benefits for its communities. With an ongoing commitment to sustainable operations, they have decreased global methane emissions intensity by 46 percent since 2015, and 95 percent of the company’s total water consumption in 2019 was non-fresh water. One-third of its board members are women and they have seen a 26 percent increase in U.S. female STEM employees since 2015.

Apache joins Crown Castle, MD Anderson and Willis Towers Watson as one of Posse Houston’s newest corporate and Career Program partners.

This partnership will build upon Posse's leadership development groundwork.

As the company prepares to recruit Posse interns, Texas A&M Posse alumnus and Apache employee Darius Pitre plans to play an instrumental role to make sure they have a warm welcome.

"This partnership will build upon Posse’s leadership development groundwork," Darius says. "Apache is creating opportunities for Posse Scholars to gain hands-on experience at a company that contributes to global progress by helping meet the world’s energy needs. The partnership also gives Apache an opportunity to provide resources and mentorship for young adults growing up in Houston, our corporate home."

“Posse Houston is thrilled to work with Apache to engage our Scholars in the energy sector’s efforts to grow and develop in sustainable ways,” says Posse Houston Director Zakiya Thomas. “We look forward to a long and happy partnership with Apache Corporation.”
