Scholars Take the Field for Summer Olympics

This July, Posse New Orleans hosted its third Summer Olympics in Audubon Park. The annual event drew more than 60 Posse Scholars, their family members and friends, and Posse staff in celebration of the newest Scholars beginning their journey as college students.

After several spirited rounds of water games, kickball, and hula-hooping competitions, new Scholars and their families were able to interact and share their experiences with the Posse program with on-campus Scholars from Bard College and Tulane University.

“Support is at the core of all we do and celebrating with the Scholars’ families, where their support began, is something we look forward to every year,” says Posse New Orleans Director Monica Sylvain. “We feel honored to carry forward the leadership development groundwork that has been laid by them.”
