Scholars, Families Build Community at Posse Olympics

Fall 2016 | Miami

More than 150 Pre-Collegiate Training Scholars, their families and other guests gathered for a spirited day of field games at the Posse Summer Olympics. Scholars were enthusiastically committed to teamwork as they competed in relay races, a water balloon toss, and tug-of-war.

The event gave Scholars an opportunity to connect with the other Posses based in Miami and to start building relationships with a broader network of their peers. In addition, parents and families were able to spend more time with the Posse staff members who will be supporting their children during the next chapter of their lives.

“I always look forward to the Posse Summer Olympics," said Posse Miami Director Nadine Dalrymple. "It is a joy to watch the Scholars we’ve been getting to know over several months start to see and experience that they are a part of a much bigger community than just their own Posse.”
