Scholars, Career Program Partners Celebrate Summer Internships

At the end of the summer, Posse Scholars gathered at River Oaks Country Club to celebrate their professional accomplishments at Posse Houston’s first Internship Celebration. The event was also attended by the internship supervisors with whom Scholars worked over the summer.

Jesse Del Rio, now a sophomore at The University of Texas at Austin, participated in summer programs for accounting at Deloitte and KPMG, both Big Four professional services firms. Jesse hopes to intern with an accounting firm next summer, citing this summer’s programs as a significant opportunity for his professional development.

Many Posse Houston Scholars, although they have only been on campus a year or less, had important experiences that will further them in their pursuit of leadership and career exploration.
