Chicago Golf Outing Raises Over $280K for Scholars

Summer 2015 | Chicago

The 11th annual Posse Chicago Golf Outing, held at Skokie Country Club on June 8, drew more than 130 golfers and raised more than $280,000 to support Scholars from Chicago.

After both morning and afternoon rounds of golf, DePauw University Posse alumnus Jason Yoo delivered a keynote address at the dinner reception sponsored by Kraft Foods. Jason, who graduated in 2011, works in business development for brokerage firm Advantage Futures.

“College was always on my radar, but I didn’t know how to pay for it,” said Jason. “Posse recognized that I had the potential to do really well and become a leader that could make change on DePauw’s campus.”

The event was a success thanks to the leadership of Posse Chicago Advisory Board members and event co-chairs Edward “Ted” Swan and Pam Phillips Weston, along with a host committee and several generous sponsors.

The next Posse Chicago Golf Outing will be held in July 11, 2016, at Skokie Country Club.
