CBS Television Studios Partnership Offers Scholars Career Opportunities

Winter 2015 | Los Angeles

Since 2012, CBS Television Studios has partnered with The Posse Foundation to create a summer internship program exclusively for Posse Scholars. These interns have the incredible opportunity to rotate through a variety of departments at CBS and gain valuable experience in broadcasting, production, and the entertainment industry.

Posse alumna Tania Cardona, a recent graduate of University of California, Los Angeles, was hired as the executive assistant to the CBS vice president of sales and operations after completing a successful summer internship with the company.

“Posse played a vital role in preparing me for the workforce workshops that focused on interview skills and networking,” says Tania. “Posse’s Career Coaching Program paired me up with a fantastic mentor who is also in the entertainment industry. My goal is to be a leader in my industry, managing a collaborative team and taking forward-thinking action.”

In addition to being a Posse Career Program partner, CBS Los Angeles has featured Posse on numerous occasions, including an interview with Posse Los Angeles Director Tamara Craver and coverage of the annual Power of 10 event, emceed for the past two years by CBS2/KCAL 9 television journalist and anchor Pat Harvey.

“I cannot thank CBS enough for all of their generous support of Posse,” says Tamara. “The network’s commitment to furthering Posse’s mission to train the leaders of tomorrow is invaluable.”
