Career Partners, Posse Interns Celebrate Successful Summer

Summer 2013 | Los Angeles

Over 100 guests gathered in August for the annual Internship Celebration hosted by Paramount Pictures. The evening recognized the hard work of Posse Los Angeles’ summer interns and the invaluable opportunities provided by Posse’s esteemed Career Program partners. With over 90 Scholars hired at leading corporations and organizations, it was a successful summer of professional development.

“I’m going to argue that Posse Scholars are not just future leaders, they are leaders today,” said Anita Ortiz, the vice president of diversity and inclusion at Paramount.  “Leaders who have proven themselves in various roles on campus, in their communities, and, this summer, in their internships.”

Throughout the evening Scholars expressed gratitude for the support provided them by their supervisors and colleagues.

“I learned how to manage a different array of tasks that allowed me to put my creative and organizational skills into practice,” said Anna-Nicole Genislow, a sophomore at the University of California, Los Angeles. “Thanks to my supervisor's leadership, I have been able to build on skills that will help me offer more to the workplace.”

Posse Los Angeles is grateful to its Career Partners who are invaluable resources to Scholars and help Posse realize its mission to diversify leadership in the workforce.
