Babson Grad Helps Build Alumni Network

Spring 2016 | New York

Babson College alumna Kadia Tubman, an industry relations coordinator in the global marketing and communications group at Nielsen, became a Posse National Alumni Advisory Council (PNAAC) representative in 2015. She was inspired to become involved after attending an Alumni Holiday Celebration.

“Everyone in the room came from different places, were at different points in their career, and graduated at different times,” says Kadia. “But it felt like we were all family.”

PNAAC representatives bring their invaluable perspectives to advisory boards in each Posse city, in addition to coordinating professional development opportunities and encouraging philanthropy, leadership, and networking within the alumni community. In New York, with its alumni community of more 1,300, PNAAC representatives engage alumni at annual events such as the National Posse Alumni Leadership Conference, the Power of 10 fundraiser, and the Alumni Holiday Celebration.

“As a PNAAC rep, I want to be a resource for other alumni whenever I can,” says Kadia. “Being part of the alumni network and the Posse movement means that nothing is impossible.”

In addition to her role as a PNAAC representative, Kadia is a volunteer for Embrace Your Legacy, Dress for Success, and Opportunity Network.
