Villanova Scholar Serves Campus at Tech Support Hub, Explores Finance

Theodore “Theo” Fang is a freshman Posse Scholar in the first New Orleans Posse cohort to attend Villanova University. Last fall, Theo was recruited to work at Villanova’s TechZone, the on-campus tech support hub.

In this role, he assists fellow students with tech support including hardware, software, and general technical problems. As one of 25 student consultants working cooperatively with professional staff, Theo and his team provide important services to his fellow Villanova students. With an emphasis on digital programming during the pandemic, his skills have been in high demand.

Now in his second semester, Theo reports being excited about his courses, especially his business dynamics class, which he describes as both fun and informative. Theo is also part of the Asian Students Association and looks forward to becoming more involved with the organization in the coming year.

“Posse has been a great supportive resource for me since I’ve started at Villanova,” Theo says. “My fellow Posse Scholars and the program components have really helped me adjust to the new environment and do the best I can at school."

Theo is already strongly considering majoring in finance with a minor in computer science, an academic pursuit that is complemented by his role at TechZone. His professional career sights are set on a future in investment banking.
