PwC Foundation Awards Posse $1 Million to Support Career Program

Spring 2026 | National

The PwC Foundation awarded The Posse Foundation a $1 million grant to support the organization’s Career Program over the next two years, deepening efforts to connect Scholars to highly coveted, meaningful professional opportunities. Distributed across 2026 and 2027, the grant will strengthen Posse’s ability to provide Scholars with the human-centered leadership skills needed to thrive in a technologically advanced world.

The grant helps advance PwC’s The Human Skills Project, a three-year societal commitment to help build critical human skills to thrive alongside technology — with the PwC Foundation helping bring that commitment to life by supporting grantee organizations and engaging PwC professionals in meaningful ways.

PwC professionals play an active role in helping advance Posse’s mission. Partners and employees contribute through board service, career coaching, and direct engagement with scholars. Yolanda Seals-Coffield, Chief People & Inclusion Officer at PwC US, serves on Posse’s national board, while additional PwC leaders support local Posse sites nationwide, including Rod Adams (Chicago), Michael Turgeon (New Orleans), Kalil Samra (Bay Area), and Dale McDowell (Washington, D.C.).

“Since launching The Human Skills Project, we’ve made meaningful progress—bringing human skills to life through how our people learn, lead, and engage with communities,” said Yolanda Seals-Coffield. “Our work with organizations like Posse, supported by the involvement of PwC professionals, helps further that commitment by connecting purpose‑driven work with real‑world experience—building capabilities that matters as technology reshapes the way we work.”

As a key collaborator for our national career efforts, PwC works closely with Posse to help Scholars explore and prepare for careers in professional services. Posse Scholars regularly participate in career fairs and professional development programming, including career events hosted by PwC. Through these experiences, some scholars were PwC interns and became full-time hires.

In 2025, PwC hosted a career event for Posse Scholars at its Atlanta office. The program featured a panel discussion on navigating the first year of college, small-group conversations with PwC associates about key academic and career transitions, and a storytelling workshop designed to help students effectively communicate their experiences and aspirations.

Beyond the Career Program, funded through the PwC Foundation’s $1M grant, PwC employees also support Posse through volunteer efforts tied to the Dynamic Assessment Process—the organization’s distinctive method for selecting Posse Scholars. PwC partners and employees have participated in first-round assessments in cities including Boston, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., helping to identify the next generation of leaders.

“We share PwC’s vision for technological progress anchored in humanist values,” says Posse President and Founder, Deborah Bial. “The PwC Foundation’s generous investment in Posse will support our Scholars across the country, connecting them to invaluable professional development and leadership opportunities. Together we are helping exceptional young people thrive in their careers and become leaders who create positive, meaningful change.”
