Posse Houston Welcomes Two New Advisory Board Members

Fall 2026 | Houston

Posse Houston is proud to welcome Guy Koenig and Sammy Miller as the newest members of its Advisory Board. With decades of experience in business, finance and professional services, they bring valuable expertise and fresh perspectives to Posse Houston’s growing network of community leaders.

Guy is president of GSFSGroup, a consortium of finance- and insurance-related companies owned by The Friedkin Group. He first became involved with Posse after volunteering for a Dynamic Assessment Process session held on the company’s campus.

“I was impressed by the young people,” says Guy. “My involvement, however, was solidified when I attended my first Awards Ceremony where the students were recognized.”

Hearing Scholars thank their families—and watching those families celebrate their children—made Posse’s impact unmistakable.

“I still do not believe I have attended a more powerful and meaningful event, and each year is better than the last,” says Guy.

As board chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Guy works with young people earlier in their lives and has recognized similarities between their experiences and those of Posse Scholars. The first person in his extended family to attend college, he also understands firsthand the importance of having peers and mentors to help navigate the college experience.

“Hopefully, I can provide a perspective that shows these young people that anything is possible, no matter where you started out, if you take advantage of the opportunities provided, make good decisions, and secure mentors and colleagues who can help you through the journey we call life,” says Guy. “Posse does exactly that at an extremely important time in a young person’s life.”

Sammy joins the Advisory Board with more than 25 years of experience as a partner in PwC’s assurance practice. He has worked with multinational public and private companies across the energy, construction and industrial sectors, advising organizations on complex financial and business matters. His experience includes international audits, business combinations and valuations, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reporting, internal controls, and joint venture accounting.

Before joining PwC’s assurance practice, Sammy spent six years in the firm’s tax practice.

“What drew me to Posse is its focus on identifying talented young people and giving them access to opportunities,” says Sammy. “Talent is everywhere, but access and opportunity are not always distributed equally.”

Through his Board service, Sammy hopes to offer a business perspective that will help Posse Houston expand its reach while contributing thoughtful insight to decisions that advance the organization’s mission.

Guy and Sammy’s professional expertise, community leadership and commitment to expanding opportunity will be valuable additions to Posse Houston’s Advisory Board. The chapter looks forward to their partnership and the impact of their service in the years ahead.
