Posse Chicago Welcomes New Advisory Board Members

Spring 2024 | Chicago

Posse Chicago welcomes Rena Weyrauch and Jennifer Kraft as the newest members of its advisory board. Rena and Jennifer bring years of experience and expertise in the legal and finance fields respectively.

Rena serves as Ernst & Young’s (EY) central region insurance and financial services consulting leader. In this role, Rena is responsible for leading the successful growth of the practice, including client management, new product rollouts, and the recruiting and deployment of EY resources. With over 25 years of consulting experience, she has led some of the firm’s largest insurance client relationships.

Despite being new to the board, Rena has already made many significant contributions to Posse Chicago, including connecting EY partners to the program. The firm’s leadership approached Rena to help build a strong nationwide network with Posse after witnessing the success of Posse alumni employees at EY.

“Ensuring that we have the talent in Chicago to support our clients is critical to our business, and Posse contributes outstanding talent to our firm,” says Rena. “What excites me about Posse is the talent being developed and the impact Posse Scholars and alum have and will continue to make.”

Jennifer is a partner of employee benefits at Seyfarth Shaw. In this role, she advises employers on designing, implementing, and maintaining differentiated and legally compliant benefit plans. Jennifer guides her clients through benefits laws, counseling them on approaches that reduce risk and prevent mistakes.

She learned about Posse from current members of the advisory board and leadership council, who spoke highly of the program and its impact. Eager to get involved, Jennifer has since volunteered as a resume coach and an evaluator for the Dynamic Assessment Process, Posse’s unique selection method. She has also attended several Posse events, including Posse Chicago’s Power of 10 fundraiser.

“At each stage of my involvement, I’ve been impressed,” Jennifer says. “I love the stories of Posse Scholars. I love their maturity and their work ethic. I want to help them on their journeys however I can.”
