Posse Launches Elite Career Accelerator for Alumni
This spring, The Posse Foundation selected the inaugural class of the PosseNext Fellows Program, an elite career mentorship initiative designed to propel alumni into influential roles across industries. The program marks a significant step forward in Posse’s mission to develop leaders in every sector of the workforce.
PosseNext brings together a select cohort of high-achieving early-career alumni for an intensive leadership development experience aimed at positioning them for leadership roles within the next three to five years. Through a combination of individualized programming, cohort-based mentorship, and one-on-one guidance from executive-level leaders, the program is designed to provide tangible pathways for alumni to grow their influence and expand their professional networks.
“PosseNext is going to help us unlock our mission’s third goal: To help alumni achieve leadership positions in every field,” said Jake Moreno Coplon, Posse’s chief operating officer. “We’re providing more avenues for our most talented and ambitious young alumni to step onto leadership tracks with more connections and opportunities to succeed.”
The inaugural 2026 cohort reflects the breadth of industries and impact areas where Posse alumni are already making meaningful contributions—from public service and scientific research to media and creative industries.

As part of the program, Fellows participate in a structured experience that includes a kickoff retreat, leadership development workshops, peer mentorship, and dedicated coaching sessions with executive leaders who provide insight and guidance drawn from their own careers.
“I’ve always been passionate about social impact,” said Kamilah Harruna, a Boston University alum and public sector consultant at Ikaso Consulting. “Working in the state government space, I am able to advocate for the changes I want to see in society. Influencing policy is how I feel I can make the most change.”
Across sectors, Fellows are pursuing work that addresses complex challenges and advances innovation. Jeffrey Sagun, a Trinity College alum and REACH Research Scholar at Stanford University Medical School, emphasized the importance of investing in overlooked areas of study.

“I want to lead all of the most innovative research that we can conduct,” he said. “I study diseases most people will never see in their lives, and it’s not always easy to fund, but a lot of breakthroughs come from studies involving rare disease patients. It impacts everyone.”
In the creative industries, Fellows are similarly focused on shaping culture and expanding representation through their work.
“I believe in telling stories that matter, stories that inspire people, stories that encourage people to have important conversations,” said Morgan Tatje, a Texas A&M University alum and creative development associate at Tyler Perry Studios. “I want to continue to make content that engages with the zeitgeist and influences cultural norms.”

The 2026 Fellows cohort includes alumni from across the Posse network, representing a wide range of professional fields and perspectives. Together, they exemplify the strength of Posse’s alumni community and the organization’s long-standing commitment to leadership development.
Since its founding, Posse has identified and trained thousands of students with extraordinary leadership potential, supporting them through college and beyond. The launch of PosseNext builds on that foundation by investing more deeply in alumni as they transition into the workforce and take on leadership roles that shape industries and communities alike.
As Posse continues to expand its impact nationally, the PosseNext Fellows Program represents a forward-looking investment in the next generation of leaders—equipping them with the tools, connections, and support needed to drive meaningful change at scale.
