Announcing Posse Arts: Michelle Obama Celebrates New Posse Collaboration with Lin-Manuel Miranda

The Posse Foundation has launched a new arts initiative in partnership with Lin-Manuel Miranda and the Miranda Family Fund, with CalArts as the first institutional partner. Former First Lady Michelle Obama announced the program.

The Posse Foundation is proud to add the University of Virginia (U.Va.) to its roster of top-tier college and university partners. U.Va. will select its first Posse of 10 Scholars from Houston this December.

Denison Associate Provost Champions Diversity

Denison University Associate Provost Dr. Toni C. King is dedicated to supporting diverse leadership in the student body and faculty. Bryn Mawr Scholar Wins Prestigious Fellowship

Bryn Mawr College junior Esteniolla Maitre began crusading for education reform as a high school student from Mattapan, Massachusetts. Now, with the support of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship, she is preparing to be an influential leader in the education field.

180 Alumni Attend Posse Leadership Conference

In August, 180 Posse alumni attended the fifth annual National Posse Alumni Leadership Conference in New York City. The day-long conference included a presentation by Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial, a keynote address by Demos Distinguished Fellow and author Bob Herbert, as well as presentations by more than 30 guest speakers.

Bucknell Alumna Wins Ainslie Achievement Award

Nadia Marie Sasso, a graduate of Bucknell University, is the 2013 recipient of the Ainslie Alumni Achievement Award. During the annual National Posse Alumni Leadership Conference held in New York City this past August, Nadia was honored for her commitment to social responsibility and her ability to inspire others.
