Evercore Senior Managing Director Joins New York Advisory Board

Summer 2026 | New York

When Michael Addeo first learned about Posse through a member of the Posse National Board, he was immediately drawn to the organization’s mission. That introduction led him to join the Posse New York Advisory Board in 2024, where he now helps advance Posse’s work to identify and support exceptional student leaders.

Michael is a senior managing director in Evercore’s Private Capital Advisory group, where he advises clients on secondary market liquidity solutions across private credit assets, specializing in credit secondary market transactions.

Before joining Evercore, Michael spent 15 years at Blackstone Credit & Insurance (formerly GSO Capital Partners) as a credit investor. Most recently, he served as head of restructuring, leading complex restructuring and liability management transactions across the public and private credit markets.

Posse’s approach to identifying talent is what resonated most with Michael. "What excites me is the merit-based nature of the organization and the opportunity Posse provides to exceptional students," he says.

Since joining the advisory board, Michael has found the relationships within the Posse community especially inspiring.

"Meeting Posse alumni and hearing how the program shaped their lives has been incredibly meaningful," he says. "I’ve also been struck by the lifelong bonds Scholars build with one another."

Michael’s commitment to expanding opportunity extends beyond his work with Posse. Together with his brothers, he established an annual scholarship at their alma mater, Georgetown University, to support future students.

A graduate of Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, Michael earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is a CFA charter holder. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, Carolyn, and their three children.

As Posse Scholars prepare to launch their careers, Michael encourages them to invest in the relationships they build and the reputation they earn.

"Develop real, meaningful relationships in your personal and professional lives," he says. "A lot of opportunities arise because of both hard work and luck. If you are genuinely kind to others and always operate with your reputation in mind, you’ll be surprised by how many people will help you along the way and want to see you succeed.”
