Golf Outing Raises $250K For Chicago
The 12th annual Posse Chicago Golf Outing, held at Skokie Country Club on July 11, drew nearly 150 golfers and raised more than $250,000 to support Scholars from Chicago.
After morning and afternoon rounds of golf, guests gathered for a dinner reception where 2016 Pomona College graduate and Posse alumnus Javier Vazquez delivered the keynote address. Javier is now a business analyst at Deloitte, a leading professional services organization where he interned through the Posse Career Program.
“Thanks to Posse and its supporters, I had the opportunity to attend one of the top institutions in the nation and the pleasure of working with great companies such as Deloitte, Exelon, True Value and Google,” said Javier “But most important, I had the privilege of spending four years with the group that I so proudly call my Posse.”
The event was a success thanks to the leadership of Posse Chicago Advisory Board members and event co-chairs Robert Byron and Edward “Ted” Swan and the support of the golf outing committee members and several generous sponsors.
