Houston Celebrates Power Of 10, Honors Community Members

Posse Houston welcomed nearly 150 people to the fifth annual Power of 10, a cocktail reception hosted at The Dunlavy. Over $240,000 was raised in support of Scholars.

Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial was pleased to be present to honor The Wyatt Foundation and the Wyatt family for their outstanding partnership.

Posse Houston Advisory Board member Steve Wyatt accepted the award on behalf of The Wyatt Foundation. “There is nothing like this Posse model and I am thrilled to be a part of it,” said Steve. “Posse dreams big and teaches their Scholars to dream, believe and achieve. It’s a win for both the students and the colleges.”

The crowd of business leaders, donors, and alumni also heard from Posse Alumna Andrea Gomez, of the University of Texas at Austin. “Being a Posse Scholar and the incredible experiences my Posse and I had over the past four years was truly life-changing,” said Andrea. “When a door opened for one of us, it opened for all of us.”
