Gap Helps Prepare Scholars for Career Success

Spring 2014 | National

The Posse Foundation is grateful for the support of Gap Foundation. Gap Foundation—the community investment arm of Gap Inc., a leading global specialty retailer that includes Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, Athleta, and Intermix brands—has supported Posse for more than six years.

Gap Foundation’s investment supports the Posse Career Program, which connects Scholars to summer internships at industry-leading companies and to other career-enhancing services. In addition, many Gap Inc. employees have volunteered at Posse chapters in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City and have contributed to Posse through the company’s donation matching program.

“Gap Inc. congratulates The Posse Foundation on celebrating 25 years of helping talented students reach their highest potential,” says Bobbi Silten, Gap Foundation president and senior vice president of global responsibility. “The support Posse provides to help the leaders of tomorrow chart successful career paths is critically important to our workforce and our world.”

“The Posse Foundation relies on the support of its community of supporters who volunteer time and countless resources to ensure Scholars’ success,” says Deborah Bial, Posse’s president and founder. “We are grateful to Gap Foundation and Gap Inc.’s employees for being such important members of that community.”
