100 of Atlanta’s Influential Women Gather For Education

Winter 2018 | Atlanta

Last August, Posse Atlanta hosted a community reception entitled “100 Atlanta Women: Empowering the Next Generation of Posse Leaders Through Higher Education.” The event convened metro Atlanta’s most influential women and was held at the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta in the Penthouse Ballroom.

With more than 130 women in attendance, the evening provided a unique networking opportunity for influential individuals who share a passion for education.

Posse Atlanta Alumna Brenda Khor, a 2017 graduate of The College of Wooster, spoke about her Posse experience and her expectations as a recent recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Spain.

Head table guests: Agnes Scott College President Elizabeth Kiss, Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta General Manager Yvette Thomas-Henry, GEEARS Founding Chair Stephanie Blank, Kylie Blank, Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial.

Posse Atlanta was also honored to welcome Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial, whose words enlightened, inspired and challenged attendees in the room.

Guests learned more about Posse and its impact and ways they might support the organization as volunteers or as corporate or individual donors. The reception successfully raised nearly $20,000 for the program.

Posse Atlanta is grateful for the support of the event committee and its in-kind sponsors: Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta and Mercedes-Benz USA.

Posse Atlanta plans to continue to build on the success of the “100 Atlanta Women” event.
