Strategic Projects Manager - National

The Posse Foundation is seeking a highly organized, experienced project manager to join the Strategic Projects team in our national office in New York City. The Strategic Projects Manager will join a small, dedicated team charged with creating and running high quality, innovative programming for The Posse Foundation and its clients through Posse Consulting.

The Strategic Projects Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Projects.

Core Responsibilities

The Strategic Projects Manager is primarily responsible for the planning and implementation of large-scale programs and consulting projects. They will:

  1. Build and maintain strong client relations to deliver programs and trainings that best fit client needs related to leadership, diversity and inclusion.
  2. Develop, write and modify curricula, workshops and proposals for internal programs and Posse Consulting.
  3. Design materials for curricula, workshops and events for internal programs and Posse Consulting.
  4. Facilitate workshops and events for The Posse Foundation and Posse Consulting.
  5. Manage and update internal workflows, systems and processes (e.g. SharePoint, file storage, client tracking).
  6. Travel to program events and consulting projects (~25 percent of the year).
  7. Support the Director through ad-hoc projects.

Required Experience + Skills

The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in:

  1. Managing complex projects from start to finish.
  2. Leading and contributing to collaborative and creative teams.
  3. Developing and writing curricula, workshops and interactive programs related to identity, leadership, diversity and inclusion.
  4. Facilitating and leading workshops for diverse audiences.


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Exceptional writing skills.
  • Strong group facilitation skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (e.g. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Outlook, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams) is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with clients is a plus, but not required.
