Presidents Conference

The Presidents Conference is a bi-annual event hosted by Posse that brings together university and college chancellors and presidents of elite institutions to discuss issues related to diversity, leadership and access in higher education.

2008 Presidents Conference

On October 16, 2008, Dickinson College President Bill Durden and Posse hosted the Presidents Symposium on Diversity, Identity and Integrated Communities at Barclays in New York City. Chancellors and presidents from elite colleges and universities gathered for a discussion on the future of higher education. The event featured illuminating presentations by Claude Steele, Stanford University Lucy Stern Professor of Psychology, and Brigadier General Belinda Pinckney who heads the Army’s diversity task force.
