Third Annual Golf Outing Draws Supporters, Alumni

Posse Atlanta Advisory Board member and Golf Outing Co-Chair David Mack.

On June 15, Posse Atlanta raised nearly $90,000 at its third annual Golf Outing at Atlanta National Golf Club. The event drew 90 supporters and guests, including premier sponsor Merrill Lynch and additional sponsors Progress Software, King & Spalding, UPS and more.

“The Golf Outing continues to draw Atlanta’s top corporations to Posse,” said Merrill Lynch Managing Director David Mack, the Golf Outing co-chair and Posse Atlanta Advisory Board member. “We were thrilled to share the Posse movement with new and established partners.”

Following lunch, golfers enjoyed 18 holes of golf on the challenging course. The U.S. Trust team, sponsored by Posse Atlanta Advisory Board member Jonathan Parris, won first place. Posse graduates from Bard College, Boston University, Brandeis University and The College of Wooster served as course ambassadors and helped golfers navigate the putting green and longest drive contests.

During the closing cocktail reception, Posse alumnus Matt Campbell, a 2013 graduate of Boston University who works for Travelers in Michigan, and Sar’a Imhotep, a 2015 graduate of Brandeis University who will begin her Ph.D. at the University of California Berkley this fall, shared their Posse experiences with guests.

“Posse Atlanta’s alumni are one of our greatest assets,” says Posse Atlanta Director Zenith N. Houston. “We were thrilled to have so many amazing alumni at this year’s Golf Outing and look forward to having even more join us next year.”

Posse Atlanta is extremely grateful to Golf Outing co-chairs James Harris and David Mack, the Posse Atlanta Advisory Board and Leadership Council, and Atlanta National Golf Club for their support in making the event a great success.
