Scholar Interns with Leading Aerospace Products Supplier

Tulane University Scholar and finance major Luan Vo had the unique opportunity to travel to Houston, Texas, for a summer internship with UTC Aerospace Systems, one of the nation's leading aerospace and defense products suppliers.

“This was my first business internship,” Luan says. “My work with UTC really opened my eyes. I can see myself doing this type of work in the future.”

At UTC, Luan worked in the Program Planning and Control department. He collaborated with many individuals company-wide to review contracts, integrate technical and cost performance, provide financial analysis reports, and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and government requirements.

Luan earned his position at UTC Aerospace Systems through the highly competitive business internship program INROADS, which places underrepresented youth in valuable internship positions across myriad business sectors.

A rising junior, Luan is eager to intern again with UTC before graduating from Tulane and going on to earn a master's degree in finance or accounting.
