Power of 10 Commemorates 15 Years of Posse in Boston
On October 14, 2014, Posse Boston hosted its sixth annual Power of 10 event, celebrating 15 years of success. With nearly 300 guests, including community leaders, supporters, and more than 80 Posse alumni, the event raised more than $240,000.
“Together, we are opening doors and providing opportunity to thousands of smart, ambitious and talented students,” said Posse Boston Director Andy Gallagher. “These students are this country’s next generation of leaders. We could not do this critical work without you.”
Old Mutual Asset Management President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Bain, whose company has sponsored Boston’s Power of 10 event since 2009, remarked on the incredible impact of Posse alumni in the workforce.
“At OMAM, we believe that what counts is finishing what we start,” says Peter. “Posse's defining success lies in providing its Scholars with the strength of a supporting group not just at the start of college, but throughout their collegiate experience. Posse President and Founder Deborah Bial and National Board Chair Jeff Ubben shared some of Posse’s significant milestones and successes. Hamilton College Posse alumna Rita Tran and Bowdoin College Posse alumnus Dudney Sylla, both representatives on the Posse National Alumni Advisory Council, spoke about the impact giving to Posse Boston makes on a large scale.
“Posse is igniting a network of future leaders,” said Rita. “We’re coming together and changing the face of leadership in this country.”
