On April 17, 2010, U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan participated in a town hall meeting called “Fixing America’s Schools,” where he responded to a question about college persistence from Posse Atlanta Director Charisse Williams. “Like the president, I’m a huge fan of Posse,” he said. “You guys have done an unbelievable job and your graduation rates are through the roof and it’s a really innovative, thoughtful program, so I just appreciate your commitment so much.”
