Pre-Collegiate Training

The goal of the Pre-Collegiate Training Program is to prepare Scholars for leadership roles on campus and for the high-level academic expectations of their colleges.

Preparing Posses to Succeed

From January to August of their senior year in high school, Posse Scholars meet weekly with staff trainers and their Posse peers for two-hour workshops. The training program consists of workshops that address four areas:

  • Team building and group support
  • Cross-cultural communication
  • Leadership and becoming an active agent of change on campus
  • Academic excellence

President Obama Donates Portion of Nobel Peace Prize Money to Posse

The Posse Foundation is one of only 10 organizations selected by President Barack Obama to receive a portion of the president’s $1.4 million Nobel Peace Prize award money. News that Posse will receive a generous gift of $125,000 came via a White House announcement. Read More

Mount Holyoke, Penn, UCLA Join Posse, Bucknell Expands Partnership

Mount Holyoke and The University of Pennsylvania (Penn) have partnered with Posse to recruit students from Miami. The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and existing partner Bucknell University have also signed on with the Los Angeles chapter. Read More
